About Us

The company was founded by Katherine Smith, MD and Kim Beckett with a combined experience of over 45 years in the pharmacovigilance arena. Dr. Smith was Senior Medical Officer at Drug Safety Solutions for 15 years.  She practiced general pediatrics for 10 years before serving as the Senior Medical Officer with Drug Safety Solutions and maintained clinical practice for many years in conjunction with pharmacovigilance work. In addition, Dr. Smith serves as a scientific member on an independent IRB. Ms. Beckett was co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer for Drug Safety Solutions for 19 years after 4 years in safety services at ClinTrials Research.  She has extensive experience in clinical trial safety management in a large variety of therapeutic areas.

The company aims to provide cost efficient, high quality client-focused services. Clinical trial safety and drug development is our passion. We believe in working closely with pharma companies, supporting the intricate steps in drug development in order to play a role in the establishment of new cures and therapeutic regimens, ultimately improving patient lives.
